SOLO First Aid with Train NEK

Bland, canned, cookie cutter first aid courses are everywhere. They tend to be geared toward less active people in urban environments, and they’re often taught by individuals who only teach occasionally. If you REALLY want to feel engaged while learning how to administer first aid in a rural environment and feel competent doing it, take a regular or customized 8-hour SOLO First Aid course with Train NEK. They cost $80 per person including instruction, training materials and certification fee – and they are worth every penny. Each First Aid course below results in SOLO First Aid certification, and always comes with an opportunity to become certified in CPR for an additional $40.

* Those who travel outside one hour from definitive care are encouraged to take a Wilderness First Aid course to further learn how to manage musculoskeletal injuries, including splinting of long bones and assessment and treatment of spines – so important in longer term patient care.

FIRST AID for Youth $80

First Aid for Youth – We customize first aid courses for middle school children and up. Whether you want one longer session or multiple shorter sessions, an after school program or a field trip to practice skills in an outdoor setting, certification or certificates of completion, we’ll help you come up with a schedule that works for your goals and for your group.

One thing we know? Kids get hurt. We want to empower them by teaching them first that their bodies know what to do when they get hurt, second, how they can read the signs and symptoms their bodies provide, and third, proper handling of common illnesses and injuries. Along the way we’ll help students brainstorm some risk management strategies for themselves (we might not use that term)!

Cost is dependent on specifics, but an eight-hour course costs $80 per person and includes instruction, certification fee, and training materials. Basic CPR skills are taught in each course as part of learning first aid. If your students need CPR certification cards, there is an additional fee of $40 per person.

First Aid for Youth is available by request. Contact us at 802-522-0769 or Info at TrainNEK dot com to schedule a course for your group.
